Poison Flowers Interpretation by Colin |
This song reminds me a lot of an old Tom Lehrer song, "Poisoning Pigeons In
The Park." Both of these tracks are about finding merriement in destruction.
In this song, the narrator talks about looking for "that special someone" to
help him basically blow stuff up, as in the chorus, "Who'll grow poison
flowers with me."

"Poison Flowers" is about this angry evil person (satan, a wicked witch of some cardinal direction, Santa...) and they want people to be as angry and corrupt as they are. They need to find someone they can show around and follow in their footsteps so that the "student" will go and teach MORE people to be angry and corrupt...and so on and so on (damn that Mister Clause!!)
